Thank You for Attending the 2008 Regional Meetings!

Each year, the Michigan Partnership for Animal Welfare hosts Regional Meetings where animal welfare professionals gather to learn about current issues in the field and network with other organizations in Michigan.  At the 2008 Regional Meetings, 180 participants representing 84 animal welfare organizations, including animal controls, humane societies and rescue groups, attended these meetings and learned about the latest in disease prevention, sanitation, URI and much more.  Participants also engaged in discussion of MPAW’s newly proposed voluntary set of professional standards for animal welfare organizations.  By developing professional standards, we are taking a step towards providing consistent levels of service for the animals in our care.
